Applicants who have already obtained a Master's degree or who have submitted their Master’s thesis for evaluation by the primary adviser in a recognized university or research institute. The applicant must not already be registered as a doctoral student at the University of Haifa.
No. Acceptance to Idit is contingent upon acceptance to the University’s PhD acceptance. To be accepted, you must have the equivalent of a thesis (writing a research paper). After successfully completing this obligation, you will be able to register for the PhD. After registration for the PhD, the candidate will be able to apply for Idit.
The principal supervisor must belong to the faculty.

When applying for the PhD within your department, tell them you are interested in applying for the Idit program. They will assist you with the application process and liaise with the Idit program coordinator.
The Idit selection committee is looking for candidates who have the potential for academic excellence. The applicant must display a history of successful work, an eagerness to contribute and a desire to be part of a strong and ambitious group. A multidisciplinary research interest or focus is highly desirable.
